The purpose of the CAA is the analysis, debate, and exchange of ideas and experiences related to matters of common interest in the field of defense to heighten cooperation and integration among the Armies and to contribute from the military point of view to the security and democratic development of member countries.
From this purpose, it follows that the work of the CAA must be the analysis, debate and exchange of ideas and experiences or any other means of interaction that enables that purpose to be achieved.
The objectives of the CAA are:
- To identify topics of mutual interest in the field of defense that will allow for the inclusion in the future of all topics that may fall under the aforementioned theme;
- To increase cooperation and integration between armies;
- Determine the common aspects existing between the armies and the concrete initiatives to improve interoperability; and
- Ensure creative, up-to-date and practically useful products for the armies.
As a complement to the purpose, the guiding principles of the CAA are the following:
